The Polish village Polonezköy (Adampol) is one of the most interesting examples of such relationships. In this context this paper examines the impacts of different cultures on forest- community relations. Starting with the analysis of the foundation and historical development of Polonezköy the phases of socio-economic changes in this forest village are discussed. In this historical process the transition of forest-society relations are investigated parallel to socio-economic changes.
