Description
Summary:This research examined the knowledge production about quilombolas communities in Paraná, identifying their content and, especially, if the bodily practices are recurring in these investigations and how they are presented. Thus, it was necessary, through the State of the Art, mapping studies on quilombolas in Parana, identifying the categories and acknowledging the theoretical productions about the bodily practices. The data demonstrate that the production of knowledge about quilombolas communities in Paraná is recent, focused in categories as  legality,  agrarian question/territory, concept of quilombola and education, with occasional forays in the  category bodily practices. In addition, the data show the need for investigations to understand how these communities produce culture and reaffirm their bodily practices.
