Description
Summary:The study of thermal processing of oil sludge from the Ukhta oil field (Russia) was conducted in order to assess the possibility of extracting liquid products and their simultaneous purification from sulfur compounds. Proximate and ultimate analyzes of the feedstock as well as its thermogravimetric study were performed. The data on the yield of pyrolysis products were obtained in the fixed bed retorting system, depending on the process temperature and the addition of calcium oxide (CaO). The presence of calcium oxide allows to clean the pyrolysis gas of oil sludge from hydrogen sulfide (H2S), as well as to reduce the sulfur content in the liquid products of the pyrolysis.
