Summary:Using the descriptive approach, the study aimed at reaching proposed procedures for improving the school principals’ performance in the Sultanate of Oman through the strategic leadership approach. This was conducted through assessing principals’ practices of strategic leadership inside schools. The study was based on a questionnaire consisting of four dimensions of the strategic leadership approach: transformational, administrative, moral, and the political dimension. A random sample was used that included 220 members from administrative and teaching staff at Muscat, Buraimi, and Dhofar educational governorates. Results indicated that school principals are practicing strategic leadership at a high level in all dimensions.
