Summary: | The latest novel by Andres Rivera, Kadish, published in 2011, has not yet received the attention of academia. This article analyses, in the above mentioned novel, the representation of the memories of the experiences of authoritarianism and terror in the last military dictatorship (1976-1983) in Argentina in the context of a Jewish tradition of memory. This study argues that the novel, that has a Benjaminean underlying conception of history, pays homage to the oppressed of history, remembered in the tradition of the Memorbijer and the Izker-bijer. |
