Summary:The article is dedicated to the analysis of the figurative plastics of one of the key episodes in the story “Kotlovan”: “At the House of the Highway’s Inspector”. This episode had existed in the exposition part of the early editions of this Platonov’s work, but it has been excluded by Platonov from the final typewriting. However, the visual figurativeness of the everyday family sketch implicit the most important senses of the story: homelessness, human dissociation, solitude. And it in the undercurrent it takes shape of the anti-being model.
