From the point of view of the young graduates we met, the new mechanisms of occupational integration – through the private sector – make acceding to regular jobs more unlikely, and resorting to privileges and wasta (string pulling) necessary. Maintaining “active unemployed” on the ministry of Labour’s lists of job-seekers results in the de facto suspension of the right to employment security, and is perceived as social misfortune.http://journals.openedition.org/remmm/2715 |
