Objective:Evaluated the appropriateness of the structure of theInternalMedicineina publichospitalinDF,tostandards and parameters of ambience and humanizationpropose by NationalPolicy of Humanization (NPH).Methodology: This is an evaluation research by triangulationmethods.Interviewed 12 professionals, 5 nurses and 7 nursing techniciansandquestionnaire wereapplied to40usersof Internal Medicine,Hospital deBase doDistritoFederal (HBDF)and analyzedthe physical structure through structured script.Results:The results show that there are differencesand similarities between floors; professionals evaluated most of the parametersdefinitedas regularand have diverse ideas about ambience and humanization;Usersbelieve that there are changes inthe hospital environment and evaluated most of the parameters as good.Conclusion:The ambienceon those floors is partially in accordance with the devices of NPH, the differencesareexplained bythe profile ofmanagers,forlow appropriation of the professionals andusers on the subject
