Summary:The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze individual representations at a psychosocial carecenter regarding psychiatric treatment. Interviews were held with 11 individuals at the Psychosocial Care Center.The data was analyzed according to Bardin using the moscoviscian social representation theory as a methodological-theoretical reference. The data analysis helped define one categorie. The categorie, to be treated is to be caredfor/or not was outlined on the care attributed to psychiatric treatment such as care in psychiatric treatment violenceand closed institutions.
