The data were collected through 17 semi-structured interviews in aquaculture properties in the region.The farmer was legally responsible for most property. The property's operating time ranged from 3 to 20 years and the time of experience in aquaculture activity from 10 months to 20 years (mean 5.4 ± 2.9 years). Aquaculture represented a secondary activity is for subsistence or to supplement the family income. The properties had a total area ranging from 0.5 to 750 hectares (average 124.9 ± 150.0 ha), with water area between 0.00165 and 2.16 ha (average 0.4944 ± 0.5694 ha). The semi-intensive production system was predominant (88.2%), however, the intensive system keeper tanks was also recorded (11.8%), and recorded both monocultures (70.6%) as policultives (29, 4%), with cultive of Oreochromis niloticus, Colossoma macropomum, Leporinus friderici and two species hybrid. The management with regard to the analysis of water quality of farming, food supply and evaluation of growth performance, although carried out were not satisfactory, requiring greater technical training to producers.
