Summary:<strong>The study aimed to:</strong> <strong>   - </strong>Identify the degree of competitive orientation among the players of the universities of Iraq. The researchers used the descriptive and correlative approach to its relevance and nature of the research. The research community consisted of (288) players, (156) football players, representing (13) Iraqi universities, and (132) football players representing (11) Iraqi universities.The sample of the research consisted of (80) players representing the players of the universities of Iraq in futsal and volleyball. The researchers used the measure of competitive orientation prepared by (Diana Gel: 1991) and expressed by (Mohammed Hassan Allawi, 1998) as a research tool, the scale was applied to a sample of (50) players representing the players of the universities of Iraq in futsal and volleyball. And the Alfa Kronbach coefficient).  <strong>    </strong> <strong> The researchers concluded</strong>: - Players of the universities of Iraq fustal and volleyball enjoy a high degree of competitive orientation<strong>.</strong> <strong>In the light of the research results, the researchers recommended the following:</strong> - The need to urge coaches in directing players to the competitive orientation and work to build and develop with all athletes. - Conduct competitive orientation studies on other sporting events and different categories in team or team games.
