Summary:Breast cancer is the most common female oncopathology in the world. The main cause of mortality in patients - metastases. The current state of medicine allows curing the primary tumor, but often is not effective enough to control the development of metastatic disease. Of great importance in the implementation of metastatic cascade plays circulation and survival of tumor cells in the peripheral blood. In this article we have tried to summarize and present the data in the literature on the study of circulating tumor cells in patients with breast cancer.
