| Summary: | This article explores the role of international law instruments in the process of institutionalisation of regional cooperation in South East Europe. The institutionalisation has been defined as the process of creation of regional organisations composed by the states and other subjects involved in regional cooperation. The article examines how primary and secondary international legal acts are used to enable creation of these organisations and their functioning. The article concludes that the founders of the said regional organisations have relied on the international law instruments typically used in the process of establishment of international organisations and that the bodies of the regional organisations have produced various legal acts enabling internal management and conduct of operations of these organisations. |
