Description
Summary:The Ukrainian agrarian sector, with its production potential largely exceeding the needs of the domestic market, could, on the one hand, be a locomotive for development of the national economy and its effective integration into the world economic space and, on the other, give multiplier effect to the development of other sectors of the national economy. Agriculture uses a significant amount of energy resources yearly. Energy costs reach 18% in the structure of costs of agricultural production by agricultural enterprises and 23.1% – for crop production. Meantime, the industry sector has enormous potential to produce energy resources, consuming only 17 thousand tons of biofuels and waste, which represents about 1% of the total energy consumption. The article determines the main strategic directions for development of the agricultural production and rural territories.
