Summary: | There is positive correlation between chemistry achievement and spatial ability. Because, chemistry includes spatial concepts such as; molecule, molecular geometry and isomerism. In the last decade, many studies were conducted to evaluate and develop spatial ability, because of the importance of spatial ability in education. Purpose of this study is to develop a spatial ability test by molecule models. The scale prepared by the researchers was applied to 107 preservice elementary science teachers and the final scale with 28 items was obtained. Mean item difficulty was 0.619, mean discrimination index was 0.513. Reliability of the scale was examined by KR-20 and Split-Half reliability coefficient (KR-20: 0.87; Split-Half: 0.743).
