Thyroid hemangiomas are rare occurrences with only 33 cases reported in the literature. There are no previous reports of concurrent thyroid hemangioma with papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC). Materials and methods: A case presentation with a brief review of the literature regarding thyroid hemangiomas was performed. A 56-year-old female was found to have a right thyroid goiter and left papillary thyroid carcinoma diagnosis preoperatively, ultimately undergoing total thyroidectomy. Results: A thyroid hemangioma was diagnosed on final pathology with a foci of papillary thyroid carcinoma ipsilaterally. Conclusions: This is the first case that identified concurrent thyroid hemangioma and papillary thyroid carcinoma. Thyroid hemangiomas are uncommon, yet represent an important aspect of the differential diagnosis for thyroid goiter.http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S2468548821001120Thyroid hemangiomaPapillary thyroid carcinomaEndocrine surgery
