Summary:Based on the documents included in the research and supplementary Index «National-patriotic Education in Ukraine» (2014-2018), covering the content of one of the structural sections of this manual, an attempt to identify, summarize and reflect the most resonance publications in the Ukrainian scientific space, and in the practical activities of higher education institutions was made. The thematic range of publications in the indicated direction is reflected in the diverse and multi-vector dimensions of conceptual, methodological developments and generalizations of school and university teachers, researchers, and students. It is noted that the chronological framework of the bibliographic index reflects social, civic orientation of research on the formation of the system of national-patriotic education in a new dynamic model constructed with social, political and social trends, producing new meanings, patterns, searches for new life-affirming manifestations of an active citizenship, manifested in the activities of public and volunteer organizations. It was revealed that in the content of the educational process, extracurricular work of students, the national-patriotic component has a purposeful systemic manifestation. It is argued that the effectiveness of national-patriotic education in higher education institutions is projected in the content of academic disciplines, in the implementation of volunteer, social projects aimed at establishing a conscious attitude of young people to events that determine the development of the modern Ukrainian state.
