Description
Summary:Having as its starting point the neutral category analised by Roland Barthes in his paper on Sarrasine, written by Honoré de Balzac, and in his seminars presented in 1978 at Collège de France, this paper is an attempt to reflect on literary genres, taking also into consideration the gender as a linguistic aspect. The matter of literary genres has been one of the axis of the criticism since last century. The novel Budapeste, by Chico Buarque, is the counterpoint to deal with the theoretical question of literary genres which is also associated to language and writing, both taken as an experience.
