Summary:This work is a comparative analysis of the personal and psychological profiles of the leaders of commercial and governmental organizations through the content analysis of the results of two socio - psychological studies of the primary level with the goal to obtain an integrated knowledge of a higher level of generalization. The object of the study is the management system of the organization, the subject - personal qualities of leaders. The hypothesis of the study was that the heads of government and commercial organizations, along with a range of general management characteristics require a distinctive personality traits and skills due to the specifics of work in organizations with different forms of ownership and organizational structure. The following research methods were used in the work process: the description method, the method of comparative analysis, the method of content analysis, the method of information synthesis. The results of this work are of practical importance, as it allows increasing the efficiency of the selection process of the candidates for leadership positions. Conclusions and work materials can be used in the educational process when preparing specialists in the field of personnel management, to improve methods of writing term papers and final qualifying papers.
