Description
Summary:Requirements Engineering is currently serving a key role in the process of software production. In this paper the activity of determining the complexity of the functional requirements for software is exposed where it is needed elements to make the most accurate rating possible, to support activities such as planning, defining resources and preparation of schedules, these being one of the main control mechanisms which account for the development of a product. The University of Information Sciences is organized in several development centers. In most projects the complexity of the functional requirements is determined by the assessment of the analysts and others involved in the process. Hence, the aim of this paper is to present some variables considered as those that define the complexity of functional software requirements. To make the solution a theoretical study was conducted and surveys were administered to experts as a research method to identify variables.
