Description
Summary:Translation of medical terms from English into Serbian implies observing lexical and grammatical rules of the Serbian language in order to have appropriate, precise and correct translation equivalents. The problem exists in translating complex phrases, because English has a compounding feature whereas the same idea in Serbian has to be descriptively expressed. Examples of inadequately translated terms taken from medical dictionaries, books and research papers of Serbian doctors are presented with suggestions how to remedy the situation.
