This work is orientated to check some of the central subject matters that stem from the political orientations on immigration that nowadays are taking place in the bosom of the European Union. Such trends do not stop marking the limits of the possibilities of integration of the immigrants and of intercultural dialog in the bosom of our societies, and indicate some of the perverse consequences that they can appear if they continue its current course without obstacles. Opposite to such perspectives there is a need to generate a more comprehensive and intercultural European vision, capable of giving content to new plural forms of social organization.
