| Summary: | <span>The social efficiency of the cinema’s contribution to the construction of urban imaginary, and especially that which was generated around the problem of migration from the provinces to the capital, is the theme studied in this article. The representation in the cinema of this theme did not excessively stereotype a character, but rather a whole scenario, plot and conclusion, and became one of the most recurrent themes throughout this century. The essay articulates the analysis of the contents of national cinematographic productions and the labor of focus groups -whose main aim was that of capturing the sense of imagery of México City in the processes of reception of photographic and cinematographic images.</span> |
