Method: This cross-sectional research was included in the research sample of 1853 people who were registered in a Family Health Center, who applied to the relevant center between April and May 2015 and volunteered to participate in the research. In the research, information form determining the personal characteristics of individuals and “Nursing Image Scale” were used as data collection tools. Multiple regression analysis (backward method) was performed to evaluate the effects of independent variables determined to have an impact on the nursing image scale and the scores of the three sub-dimensions. Results: In the study, it was determined that the average score of the participants from the scale and its sub-dimensions was 65.32 ± 7.39 and it was considered as moderately positive. As a result of multiple regression analysis, it was seen that four variables (occupation, educational status, economic status, gender) explained the change in the total score of the participants' nursing image scale by 14%. According to the t-test results regarding the significance of the regression coefficients, the variables that were found to be significantly effective were listed as occupation, education level (p <.001), economic status (p <.01), gender (p <.05). Conclusion: As a result of the study; While the perception of the society about the nursing image is moderately positive, it is negatively affected by the increase in socioeconomic status, educational status and age variables, however, while admissions in hospital are negatively affected by the perception of the general image of the service status, professional and educational qualifications and communication It was concluded that it caused positive perception in its dimensions.https://dergipark.org.tr/tr/pub/ataunihem/issue/64775/770806perceptionnursing professionprofessional perceptionnursing imageservice user
