Summary:Asyyrian Trade Colonies Era is a very important period in terms of social and political history of Ancient Anatolia. Kültepe-Kaniş is a centre which introduces this period the best the contex of the both philological data and archeological findings. As a result of excavations in Kültepe, more than 20 thousand tablets were found. A portion of these tablets consists of the archives belonging to the Assyrian merchants. From these archives, we have learnt that Assyrian merchants have continued to their own cultural and social lifes as well as commercial activities in Anatolia. The activities realized byAssyrian merchants in the line with their religious beliefs have constituted one of the most important evidence of this situation.
