Summary: | The age of watching television only on a TV screen is over: TV can now be watched on cell phones in many European countries including the French-speaking part of Switzerland. The customers of Swisscom, the most important Swiss phone operator can receive every hour a news report called 100 seconds. This article aims first to present this new media form in its theoretical, historical, economical, technical and sociological contexts and then to reveal its hybrid nature with a semio-linguistical methodology. |
