Les émotions et les conversations quotidiennes. Pistes d’analyse à partir de récits d’interaction

Study of interaction and discussions between individuals is a specific way to observe emotions and their experience by the individuals, particularly in their normative aspects. We analyzed the emotional dimension of exchanges in various individual accounts of conversations. First, conversations’ operations that mobilize emotions often constitute something that we propose to call “the emotional definition of the situation”. Another important operation of conversations, the action of “sharing”, is mobilizing emotions like a resource to balance. We also observed emotional norms, as well as conformity and non-conformity behaviours regarding those norms; finally, individuals are developing coping strategies in the conduct of their emotions regarding those norms.
