It is based upon the bibliographic revision using as main source the “Biblioteca Virtual em Saúde”(BVS) (Virtual library in health), articles in Google Scholar, thesis and essays attached in Medline and Scielo, using the keywords: transvestite; gender; aging and body, in the period between 2000 and 2015. Only 19 researches were found, indicating that studies about people who define themselves as transvestites are rare, especially when features as access to health are considered, even if it’s possible to notice an increase in the researches. Most of the studies pointed to aspects like social, familiar and professional exclusion, prostitution being one ofthe results of the social determinants that exclude them. The percentage of transvestites that are able to age is low, due to the life they lead as they lack decent options. Questions of health form great challenges to be faced throughout their lives, there is a lack in the realization of health public politics directed to this segment. Nursing’s acting is suggested in the construction of citizenship for transvestites, in the fight for the implementation of health actions and in the decent and respectful service, considering their specificities. http://revista.uninga.br/index.php/uningareviews/article/view/2666/2183aginghealthnursingtransvestitesviolence
