Description
Summary:Relationships between cities, war and light can be analyzed as a representation of forms of power. To verify that, we need to take account of issues of urban history and of history of technology, but we cannot ignore, for the intrinsic nature of light, even an evaluation of the system of images, also taking into account the role of artistic research. In this paper, comparing the paths of the representation and of the project, we intend to underline two elements: the reversal of views on the city, in the first half of the twentieth century, and forms, often mystifying, with which the light is used to represent towns and cities in war and resurrected after the war, a component that will verified through the case study of the city of Parma (1938-1944).
