The article is devoted to the philosopher’s responses to modern challenges in the social­philosophical dimension. A fundamental instability of modern society development and problem of sustainable development of society are described. The place and importance of this problem is shown at the XXIII­rd World Congress of philosophy proceedings. The analysis of publications and discussions at the Congress finds out different aspects, scales (from the single scale to the context of globalization) and components of this problem, which are studied by scientists worldwide. The ways, means and factors for achievement of sustainable development of society are summed. All they past tested and had recognition at the higest level – on the World Congress of Philosophy. The phenomenon of justice is at the epicenter to sustainable development of society because justice plays reach­through, “pervading” role in this process. A key status of social­philosophical analysis of the problem of modern society sustainable development is substantiated.
