Summary: | The present article discusses the issue of children health rights defence. Threats to children health and strategies to protect them in emergency contests are explored. In addition to highlighting the complex needs which characterize these situation, we expose some useful strategies to promote psychological and physical well-being in children and their families. Specifically, we discuss the hypothesis that protecting children health after natural or man-made disasters means overcoming the dichotomy between physical and mental wellbeing, getting to a more complex concept of physical-mental well-being. |
