Description
Summary:In this case study, the method of unsteady flow was used to study the flow characteristics of a planned urban river course, River A, with complex cross sections, based on the MIKE21 FM hydrodynamic module, which is an important tool for analyzing and solving hydrodynamic problems. First, the rationality and feasibility of the planning scheme were verified by building a two-dimensional numerical model, which can provide a scientific basis for the river course planning. Then, the flow characteristic of the river course was analyzed and summarized, to give several suggestions and improvement measures for follow-up river planning. Finally, on the basis of the case study, the general rules of hydraulic factors in river courses with complex cross sections were summarized, which can facilitate the understanding of the genesis and evolution of river courses.
