Summary: | Environmental management is of utmost importance for
the maintenance and preservation of environmental quality and water
resources. The objective of this study is to raise the physical and
environmental characteristics of the watershed of the stream San
Pedro in Anhumas - SP, to analyze the potential environmental impacts
to the watershed has suffered and propose measures to minimize the
impacts through environmental management watershed. The
methodology used was through literature reviews on concepts for the
understanding of watershed and the area under study, field work and
the help of Spring 5.2.3 software for the preparation of thematic maps.
The results demonstrate erosion in the watershed, low vegetated area,
possible soil and water contamination sources, and silting of water
bodies. It is concluded that the watershed under study is degraded by
intense human activity and it is necessary alternative environmental
management to minimize impacts and restore the area.
