Description
Summary:A process simulation model of the Integrated Gasification Combined Cycle (IGCC) plant of Elcogas was developed and validated with industrial data. The model was used to assess the technical and economic feasibility of the process co-fired with up to 20% by weight of two local biomass samples (olive husk and grape seed meal). Results indicate promising features of the process in the forthcoming scenario of more severe limitations to CO2 emissions.
