Summary:Music is a means of perceiving the world and an instrument of knowledge. Music contributes to the social construction of reality and sociology has always shown a special interest in its study. The current sociological studies of music analyze the process of interaction between music and society, taking in account particularly the various forms of attitude arising in this connection. This paper research analyzes the sociological theories of G. Simmel, M. Weber, and Th. W. Adorno as starting point to build the theoretical sociology of music.
