Summary:The present paper sets out some guidelines for a strategy based on the comparison ofRomanian and French and outlines some ways of learning the French negation by the nativespeakers of Romanian; the paper also points out a number of difficulties they face in assimilatingnegation in French. By highlighting some difficulties in assimilating the new language, based on thecontrastive analysis, these must be taken into consideration and ameliorated, to prevent theoccurrence of the default errors.The process of mastering a language is highly conditioned by the practicing of the studiedlanguage, i.e. a system of applications / structural exercises based on similarity and oppositionwithin a language, to allow the formation of spontaneous speech and understanding skills.
