Description
Summary:This paper analyzes the interstate migratory process focusing on the more educated individuals, besides other characteristics that affect the decision to migrate. Data from the years 2004, 2009, and 2014 were extracted from the microdata of the National Survey by Household Sample (PNAD) for the 26 units of the federation and the Federal District. The probit model is used to calculate the probabilities and the results are analyzed based on the construction of scenarios. After the investigation, it is concluded that, for the investigated years in Brazil, the higher the education of the individual, the greater the probability of migrating.
