The Functional State of the Stomach and Immunological Resistance in Infants
The article presents the results of a study of the functional state of the stomach, nonspecific resistance indices and microbial intestinal colonization in neonates and young infants. It is found that in the first months of life the age feature is slightly acidic intragastric pH (4.6 ± 0.5). Interdi...

It is found that in the first months of life the age feature is slightly acidic intragastric pH (4.6 ± 0.5). Interdigestive motility cycle is determined by the regime of feeding babies. At complete gastric emptying in 2.5–3.0 hours after feeding a baby, gastric motility rate is (5.4 ± 0.4), intragastric pressure — (13.1 ± 1.3) mmHg. It was shown that functional gastrointestinal tract formation takes place in conjunction with the processes of formation of nonspecific protection factors of digestive system and physiological intestinal contamination.http://gastro.zaslavsky.com.ua/article/view/81995gastric motilitypHintracavitary pressurenonspecific resistanceintestinal dysbiosischildren |
