The Model and its capabilities in addressing the challenges associated with capturing and describing teaching and learning practice for dissemination and redesign are examined. The effectiveness of this Model in articulating, reflecting on, designing, evaluating and sharing academic practice is investigated. This draws on studies involving academic practitioners and students. Findings on the Model’s suitability in influencing learner centred practice, enhancing the learning and teaching experience and assisting students to adapt to new learning situations are reported. Finally, the potential to develop the Model to provide teachers and learners with a simple, standards based framework to traverse the continuum of learning design is discussed.http://online-journals.org/i-jet/article/view/546learninglearningdesignteachingreflectivepractice |
