Summary:Based on case studies from a consolidated work in dance research, this article presents examples, description, context, propositions and discussion on dance interviews and dance writings, suggesting methodologies for questioning artists and specific procedures for writing about dance, such as the use of master-questions or stick-questions and alternate-writings or writings in between, in order to expand the debate on contemporary performing arts and their methods, in a contribution to the specificity of this field.
