Summary: | To identify the organizational potential for improving the quality of work of general health network to detect cancer at early stages, the statistical indicators of public health associated with neoplasms in the Republic of Belarus and the Grodno region have been analysed in a comparative aspect, the features of primary, secondary and tertiary prevention of neoplasms in Belarus have been identified. The quality control method of early detection of oncological diseases by general health network based on "feedback" from a cancer patient has been proved and introduced in Grodno Regional Clinical Hospital.
The effectiveness of the monitoring of detection of cancer pathology at advanced stages in Grodno region is shown,
and the structure of the causes of late detection of tumors, its dynamics over the period from 2014 to 2017, adjusted
according to the results of the method application is analyzed.
The analysis of the structure of the causes of neglect shows that the main reason for the late detection of cancer
pathology both in working age and in the entire population is the late application for medical care, low medical activity of citizens. In persons of working age, unlike the entire population, during the period from 2014 to 2017, such a reason for late detection as "violation of terms of dispensary examinations, incomplete examination, diagnostic error in persons subjected to medical examinations" is more often registered. |
