We will first define specific uses in ordinary language of the terms “fait” and “événement”, and then of the more precise concept of “media event”, to which multidisciplinary studies are dedicated (historical, sociological, linguistic or information Science). The “media event” is a social and discursive construction. The study of its denomination, mainly in newspaper headlines, reveals lexical, syntactic, semantic and pragmatic features. However, we will propose a broader reflection on the enunciative or argumentative issues that are involved in the setting of the event story, a narration that is also a “putting into words” of the event.http://journals.openedition.org/aad/1912discourseeventmedia |
