O olhar fotográfico como proposta de cuidado em saúde mental

This such work aims to report the experience of a workshop of photography, occurred in a Psychosocial Care Center (CAPS), located in the city of Porto Nacional, in the state of Tocantins. The CAPS are one of the Brazilian Psychiatric Reformation results and their number is increasing around the country. They are outpatient mental health attention services and they have a territorial proposal of care. In view of the fluidity of the psychosocial propose and because of the complexity of mental health care, the attempt to carry out a rigid systematization of therapeutic workshops conducted in such services is, at least, questionable. However, it is still an objective of this study to offer a brief theoretical systematization to the use of photography as part of the care to the people with mental health disorders.
