Description
Summary:This paper presents the results of four case studies of hotel companies located in Mazatlan, Mexico whose form of management and doing business is oriented towards sustainability. The objective was to carry out an evaluation of the organizational culture of these companies that seek to be identified as sustainable. The study is carried out with the premise of giving continuity to previous research on the subject already conducted using the Organization Culture Assessment Instrument (OCAI) for the evaluation of culture, with the difference that qualitative tools such as interview and non-participant observation have been used. In every case study the results show an orientation towards a clan-like organizational culture, which differs in terms of those obtained by the authors mentioned. Therefore, it may be inferred that the geographical, cultural and historical context plays a decisive role in terms of the way in which sustainability can be achieved in a company.
