Description
Summary:This article introduces some considerations about the challenges of the Research Program entitled Social Representations of Graduate Students of Pedagogy about Teaching Activity developed by an international network of researchers associated with the International Centre for Research on Social Representations and Subjectivity - Education (CIERS-ed) from the Carlos Chagas Foundation (São Paulo, Brazil) which develops an articulation between the theory of social representations and the educational area, more specifically, training of teachers. In this sense, the article discusses the capacity of psychosocial analysis to envisage, in the educational field, the tensions between the scientific knowledge and the common sense knowledge that permeate the social representations about teacher's work without ignoring the context in which teaching activity is developed.
