Summary:The population ageing is one of bigger challenges in this century due to this fact that, school should contribute with solutions in order to create a society for all ages. The enhancement of active ageing and the relation between generations can be one of them. In this way, this article shows the benefits that radio can add to this aim. For that purpose, we are going to trackle the design, developed and evaluation of an intergenerational program oriented towards the creation of a podcast about intangible cultural heritage. It took place in cpi Plurilingüe Virxe da Cela de Monfero (Galicia, Spain) throughout academic year 2016-2017. To this effect, we have used the evaluation program metodology by means of participant observation. This method was completed with interviews to people involved in this experience. This case shows how intergenerational work with the radio encourage the increse of active participation, intergenerational dialogue as well as the promotion of inclusion and the lifelong learning. In that way, results point to radio like medium for encouraging intergenerational learning, safeguarding of cultural heritage and active ageing through its use in the school.
