Description
Summary:With the goal of assess the process quality of knowledge organization in university libraries of architecture in Argentina, it is been made a study of indexing and summary (abstract and notes of content) in OPACs. The results shows that levels of exhaustiveness are the average recommended for specialized libraries, but it is high in some cases and really low in others, therefore not much homogeneous; whereas the specificity level is acceptable. The calculation indicates a very limited consistency level. It has been detected a great number of spelling errors as much in indexing as in summary. Even though most of records have indexing expressions, the summary inclusion is limited in the libraries.  Based on the results, it has been included a serie of recommendation for the continuous improvement of processes.
