Summary:This work is related to the emerging needs of teacher formation with regards to the education of migrant children. This study aims to know the teacher social reality as well as his formation needs. The reflection is focused on three aspects: the migrant phenomenon, its challenges to the schools and initial teacher's training from an intercultural perspective, This article is divided into three parts. Firstly, this work presents the state of arts of migrant phenomenon in Spain from a general point of view. Secondly, we deal with the topic about the education of migrant children. Finally, we conclude on reflecting on teacher's training within the framework of attention to cultural diversity.
