Summary:The article deals with preliminary results of excavations on the Nyrgynda II burial ground site situated in the Udmurtia Kama River region. The cemetery has been attributed to the Cheganda culture and preliminarily dated by the 3rd century BC – 2nd century AD. The site was worked under the guidance of V.F. Gening in the 1950-60s. 268 burials were excavated, but the materials are still unpublished. The funeral rite is characterized, funerary gifts and their placement in the burials are analyzed, quantitative, age and presumably social structure of the population that had left the burial is determined in the article.
