Summary: | Between 1950 and 1962, the famous journals Esprit and Les Temps modernes are devoting a large number of pages to the cinema. This corpus of texts can be explored with a sociological point of view. Here can be shown what is expected ideologically, ethically and aesthetically from films. Films that are breaking from the ‘classical’ form according to Bazin are received with difficulties in those two journals and they give a rough ride to the analytical theories. |
